Who said that the “old glamour” is dead,is wrong,or maybe you never had the pleasure to meet Rose
McGowan.She has old glamour.We can see that even when followed by her dogs Bug and Fester,she invites us in her house; which is in “depression modern” style,with her heroins posters:Betty Grable, Dolores del Rio, Ava Gardner. They said to me that she was a bit a cocky starlet,Marilyn Manson’s ex,and she had still to figure herself out.That was absolutely not Rose, best known as Paige in the TV series Charmed. Rose,with her deep and really sexy voice,is determined,sunny and a really really happy person. She has a few friends,that she loves.She says in fact,that one of the things that hurts her most is seeing people that she loves suffering.Her mum is a writer and her dad is a sculptor, Rose was born in Florence, but she also grew up in lots of American cities,till she ran away from her family to reach Los Angeles and she became an actress, she starred in movies like Scream and Jawbreake”. Today Rose is a one of the stars of Grindhouse directed by Tarantino and Rodriguez that will be presented to the Festival De Cannes. Her attitude is charming and her charm captures us.

What is your typical day like? And what do you like most about your life?
I like doing what everyone likes doing.A good coffee when i wake up and a bath,with the water that reaches my chin,and doing crosswords :that is the best moment of the day to plan things.I love Italy and Florence where i was born,and i also like spaghetti with oil and garlic.I like life in LA too where everyone has the opportunity to dream and to become someone.If you walk some kilometers you are in another world where people speak another language and no one knows you.That is how i prepare myself for my new roles:i try to lose and forget my personality to find a new identity.

You seem to be vain.In the shootings you play a Lolita.But actually how do you feel?
The truth? I feel really a “pussycat”.I love make-up because when i was really young,and i ran away from my family at 13,i earned money making-up drag queens.I like having a simple ‘look’: eye pencil,mascara,big and long eyelashes,and colorful lips.And even if everyone on the set says i should wear red lipstick,i wear pink and fuchsia.The make-up i have in Tarantino’s movie was made by me.

How do you take care of yourself?What do you like most and less about your body?
I like my very pale skin.I love face cream such as La Prairie:it is excellent for the skin.I can’t live without Brightening Eye,that hides eye bags.They are very expensive products but the only ones for my skin that is so sensitive.I suffer for my hair,when i wasn’t an actress i dreamed to become famous also to have a personal stylist.I do my hair every three days.

Do you play any sport to stay fit,do you have hobbies?
Absolutely not.I don’t like sports. I tried yoga and meditation but i can’t do that.My hobby is singing.I sing a song in Tarantino’s movie “You belong to me’ by Patsy Cline. My dream? Record an album and star in a movie about Clara Bow, the most amazing actress of mute cinema.
